What do I believe in?

I believe

In heaven and hell

That our life is already planned out for us

In Education

That we cannot change anything in our life

No one is bad/everyone has good in them

In God

In karma

that everything happens for a reason

We are responsible for creating our own happiness

In the power of forgiveness

In working hard to be successful

In trying your best

That we always have a choice

That everyone should be given chances

That Christmas is the best holiday

That honesty is very important

That trust is one of the most important things in any relationship

10/18: Would you rather live in the current society or quit school at 14 and work?

I would rather live in the current society and go to college before working because I think that this is a good way for me to prepare myself before I go into the workforce. If I were to quit school and start working at 14, I feel like I would not be prepared enough and I might end up wasting my time trying to work when I’m not ready for it yet. Aside from being able to learn more from college, I think it will prepare me a lot for work.

Friday 10/11: Would you rather be reborn into the past or into the future?

I think I would rather be reborn into the future because I want to see how the world will change and develop from today into the future. It will be exciting to see the different types of technology present that we do not have or are not able to think of right now. I also want to see what would happen to me and what I would be doing by that time.

Would you rather know WHEN you’re going to die or HOW you’ll die?

I would rather know when I’ll die because I would get very anxious if I knew how I would die. For example, if I knew that I’d die by drowning then I would be scared of water and I might not go to the beach anymore. If the only thing I know is the date of my death then at least I can live my life and do everything I want to before that date without being scared or worried about doing different things.

How was your writing process?

Writing my essay was a long process. First, I had to choose my topic. Choosing what to write about was very hard for me because I did not know what to write about or if the topic I chose was too common. Once I had my topic, the next thing I did was write my narrative and the last thing that I did was to reflect on the narrative and why and how it has affected me or changed me. I had to take a lot of time to reflect on how my narrative made me feel and once I have reflected on it, it was very hard for me to put it into writing.

9/24: How do I feel about my essay? What are my goals for this week?

As of now, I do not know how I do not feel very good about my essay. There are still a few parts missing in my reflection. I think that my narrative is alright but I just need to reflect on it more, especially on why it affected me in a particular way. Before this week ends, I hope that I will be able to complete my reflection and organize my thoughts more.

Would you rather live in a utopia as a normal person or a dystopia where you are the supreme ruler?

I would rather live in a utopia as a normal person because I don’t want to be the only one who is not suffering while I watch other people suffer. Even if I could use my power to help other people, I cannot make sure that I can help everyone and give everyone what they need or are asking for. I also don’t like to have the responsibility of being a supreme ruler so I would rather be a normal person living in a utopia where everyone around me is as happy and content with their lives as me.

Would you rather be invisible OR be able to fly?

I would rather be able to fly because I think it would be nice to see the world from the that point of view and the idea of flying excites me more than being invisible. Being invisible makes me feel as if I am missing out on something since no one would be able to see me. I also prefer flying so I can get from one place to another without having to walk.

When you were writing your timeline, what was your favorite memory to relive? What was your least favorite?

I liked the part where I wrote about my school trip to Scandinavia when I was in ninth grade. That experience gave my a break from all the schoolwork and whenever I look at the photos from it, I feel as if I am still there. My least favorite was probably anything about me moving schools. Both times when I moved from my first school to my second, and from the Philippines to Honolulu, I felt the same anxiousness and fear about moving and it is not a very good moment for me to relive.
